The MarLEN Project and the Waterborne Technology Platform are pleased to invite stakeholders to the upcoming joint Mobilisation and Mutual Learning (MML) Workshop, part of a series of six events organised in alignment with the ZEWT Strategic Research and Innovation Agenda (SRIA). Each workshop explores one of the six implementation pathways for different ship types, notably inland waterway transport, short sea shipping, ferries, cruise, intercontinental and offshore.

Each MML Workshop will be divided into three main sessions:
The introductory part will present the MarLEN Project, the ZEWT objectives and the objectives of the workshop.
The second session will aim at presenting three best practices and findings from relevant studies, laying the groundwork for the co-creation part.
The co-creation session will gather stakeholders to work together on the identification of challenges and potential solutions, opportunities, strategies and actionable recommendations, investigating policy, financial, technological, social dimensions and other aspects of the transition to zero-emission waterborne transport.

This forthcoming session will focus on Inland Waterway Transport Innovation, creating a platform for dialogue and collaboration among experts committed to advancing Europe's transition toward zero-emission waterborne transport.

The event will provide the opportunity to:

  • Learn from existing best practices related to the transition to zero-emission inland waterway transport;
  • Discuss on challenges and opportunies to accelerate the decarbonization of the waterborne sector with different stakeholders;
  • Build collaborations and join consortia;
  • Participate in the co-creation of actionable recommendation for the sector.
