Innovate UK Business Connect is hosting a Maritime Innovation Day 2025 in Westminster on 18 September 2025 as part of London International Shipping Week. This is a free flagship event to showcase the Department for Transport’s pioneering environmental work in the maritime sector. MSE International will have a stand at this event and staff will be available to talk about our various UK SHORE funded projects including, Sea Change, SPINE, PINS and other decarbonisation projects. 

Delegates attending the event will hear more about landmark developments in maritime decarbonisation, UK SHORE funded projects and updates on future opportunities, talks and panel discussions on the future of maritime innovatio. There will also be opportunities to engage with policy makers and shape the future of the Maritime Decarbonisation Strategy delivery as well as network with peers and sector leaders. 

The Research and Development fund UK SHORE underpins the government's diverse portfolio of environmental maritime action, investing £236 million through Innovate UK to develop clean maritime technologies and create skilled jobs across the country.

The event will include:

  • Insight into landmark developments in the journey towards maritime decarbonisation, with updates across all the programme.
  • Exhibition of UK SHORE funded projects and updates on future opportunities
  • Talks and panel discussions on the future of maritime innovation
  • An opportunity to engage with policy makers and shape the future of the Maritime Decarbonisation Strategy delivery
