The Solent and Louisiana, apparently, share many strengths - advanced shipbuilding, port operations, and a growing innovation base in maritime defence - making this a natural and highly valuable relationship for both regions. 

Maritime Solent's early discussions have highlighted possible opportunities for working together across defence, technology, skills, and industry-to-industry exchange. Louisiana is home to one of the US's most significant maritime and defence clusters.
