After five rounds supporting hundreds of businesses of all sizes, the A4I Programme - round 6 - opened on 29th July 2021 with expressions of interest required by 18th August 2021.

The £3m Innovate UK A4I Programme - Round 6 aims to boost UK-based businesses productivity or competitiveness. It does this by helping individual companies to solve tricky and perhaps long running technical problems in innovative ways by bringing them together with the UK's top scientists and facilities.

The programme is delivered in partnership with the National Physics Laboratory, the National Measurement Laboratory, The National Engineering Laboratory and the Science and Technology Facilities Council.

The programme is a two-stage competition. Stage 1 expression of interest is open from 29th July to 18th August 2021. Successful applicants will then be invited to brokerage consultations with relevant A4I delivery partners in September, to develop joint proposals for round 2 grant funding applications.
