BSAC Operation Oyster is one of the most significant environmental projects by BSAC; and it needs more help.

In conjuction with its partners, BSAC is taking action to help restore the UK's vulnerable native oysters with a large-scale data collection project. Working in partnership with the Zoological Society London, the University of Portsmouth, the Blue Marine Foundation and Seawilding, the project is asking divers to record the locations of native oysters (dead or alive) when members are out diving, snorkeling or paddling along the shore. The results will help inform specialists where oysters can be restored back into the environment.
